Thermowell
A Thermowell is a protective enclosure that houses a temperature sensor (such as a thermocouple, RTD, or bimetallic thermometer) to shield it from harsh process conditions like high pressure, corrosion, flow velocity, or mechanical damage. It allows for sensor removal and maintenance without disturbing the process or system shutdown.
